Terms of service
MLB Travel operates as a Private Hire Vehicle service licensed under the jurisdiction of the Amber Valley Borough Council Hackney Carriage & Private Hire Policy (operator reference 24/00004/TPHOPS). All our bookings are conducted in advance. The fare for bookings will be negotiated and agreed before any confirmation of that booking is confirmed. MLB Travel is operated from Kilburn, DE56 and all negotiated bookings will be priced accordingly taking into account the location of the pick-up/drop-off from this area. Any advanced booking may incur additional charges relating to certain circumstances, these include locations within any Ultra Low Emission Zone, London City Congestion Charge, Toll Roads, Airport Parking as well as any additional pick-up and drop-offs that have not been agreed to already or have not been informed to MLB Travel with respectable notice. This charge will be included in all agreed advanced bookings. We may also include extra charges in relation with Amber Valley Borough Councils tariff system (any advanced bookings between the hours of 10pm and 6am that is not an Airport/Seaport Transfer) Should any mitigating circumstances arise during operation such as traffic, delays regarding flights etc, MLB Travel reserves the right to sub-contract any advanced booking to another Private Hire Vehicle or Private Hire Operator. Any Private Hire Vehicle/Operator who is working on a sub-contract basis with MLB Travel will follow the conditions from their respective Licensing Authority. All vehicles will carry the number of passengers that said vehicle is licensed for and any additional passengers added to an advanced booking without respectable notice may result in the refusal of the journey. Any driver working with MLB Travel reserves the right to refuse any passenger if the driver deems them unfit to travel. There may be additional charges to any passenger who soils in the vehicle or causes damage to said vehicle. Charges will be detailed accordingly. The person who has arranged the advanced booking will be responsible for themselves and/or any other passengers who fall under the advanced booking. Seatbelts are provided in any vehicle working with MLB Travel and must be worn during any journey by ALL passengers. MLB Travel is not responsible for any accident, injury or death that has occurred while the passenger is within any vehicle undertaking work with us. Passengers must notify us of any child seats or booster seats that may be required upon their journey, and must be removed from the vehicle at the conclusion of a journey unless said passenger has requested us to keep them through their booking. Any lost property or personal items that may have been left inside a vehicle undertaking work with us must be reported to us within reasonable time, these items will be left at MLB Travel base of operations until the arrangement of said property to be collected/dropped off is agreed.
In relation to collection from Airports, the driver collecting the passenger will be responsible for keeping up-to-date with the flights journey to the specific airport that has been outlined by the passenger, which allows the driver to give themselves adequate time to arrive within the grounds of the airport ready for passenger collection. The driver is also responsible for informing the passenger of their whereabouts prior to passenger collection. If any passenger has requested a meet-and-greet service, it is the responsibility of the driver to arrive within the airport grounds in good time so that they can meet their passenger at the pre-arranged point within Arrivals, the driver must also stand within the meeting point with a whiteboard or mobile device displaying the name of the passenger in clear writing. It is the responsibility of the passenger to notify MLB Travel of any delays or other circumstances that may result in changes being made to the booking such as change of driver. The passenger is responsible for informing MLB Travel of any delay that may occur in relation to the return flight. Failure to adhere to the communication of delays may result in additional charges being added should the driver have to wait for a prolonged period. If there is no communication from the passenger within 2 hours of their flight landing, MLB Travel reserves the right to leave the airport grounds and a no refund policy is put in place. Any re-arrangement of pick-ups can be negotiated subject to additional charges but may not be guaranteed. All enquiries are to be made via email, WhatsApp, text message, phone call or through the MLB Travel social media pages. All relevant contact information can be found throughout our website and social media pages. Your enquiry does not confirm your booking. Your booking will be confirmed once all relevant information is provided thus to ensure smooth transition on outgoing and returning journeys. Bookings will likely be confirmed via text message and/or email should the passenger not have a mobile device. Any arranged booking that incurs a cost of over £100, MLB Travel has the right to include a mandatory 10% deposit as part of the booking. In the event that a passenger does not wish to commence with their journey any longer, they must inform us within 48 hours of their pre arranged booking. Deposits for cancellations between 24-48 hours of the time agreed in their booking may be partially refunded, and any cancellations within 24 hours will result in no refund being allocated. Any passenger who has pre-paid for their journey in full, without deposit, who wishes to cancel must do so within 24-48 hours of the time agreed on their pre arranged booking. This will also result in refunds being returned according to the time frame they have wished to cancel with us.
We do not and cannot accept any liability and cannot be held responsible for any loss, financial, personal or professional for missed flights, trains, buses /onward connections or passenger delays caused by road traffic accidents, third party issues, adverse weather conditions, theft, congestion, mechanical breakdown/punctures, terrorist attacks etc. We reserve the right to cancel all services if advised against travelling by authorities such as the Police, Met Office or Highways Agency or if we consider it unlikely that we will be able to complete your journey with passenger safety concerns. Additional fees will not be applied due to travel complications due to extreme weather. Discretionary refunds will be made less services charges. This will be the limit of compensation. It is the person responsible for the booking to confirm the confirmation details to avoid any incorrect or changed information. In the event of last minute changes, services may or may not be able to be offered or completed and may or may not incur additional fees. MLB Travel endeavour to deliver passengers safely, professionally and on time/ early at their destinations or predetermined way points. It is the passenger/ person making the booking to research and check their itinerary including check in times, travel windows and connections. Additional times should always be allowed for when booking a pick up. More than enough time should always be allowed for. We reserve the right to amend/change/delete/add to terms and conditions without notice.
